Is he really showering?!?

I swear he is in there for like 5 minutes. He says he washes his hair and body. I can smell the shampoo (L'oreal Kids stuff) but he isn't in there for long at all! He is 7. he is my boyfriend's son so i'm not exactly used to this. Should I still be helping him? I feel he can do it on his own, but maybe not?

Is he really showering?!?

my son used to do that, too. i bought him a timer and he sets it for 10 minutes. that gives him the perfect amount of time to shower. i just tell him to keep washing until the buzzer goes off. he is squeaky clean every time.

Is he really showering?!?

he's 7, theres not alot to wash!!! As long as his hair smells ok he's fine

Is he really showering?!?

5 minutes isn't enough time to get completely clean. But if his father isn't concerned, then don't worry about it. When he gets made fun of as the smelly kid then he will change his habits.

My son, I could barely get him in the shower, not it's like forcing him out. He's in for like 20 minutes. LoL! Don't stress it.

Is he really showering?!?

5 minutes is a normal time to shower. don't worry, if he smells fine then it's okay. he just doesn't dawdle in the warm water (like me), it's fine.

Is he really showering?!?

All you can do is ask him did you wash under your arms. I have an 8 year old and a 9 year old, and I showed my boys on the internet what germs look like and a couple of things that can happen to you if you aren't sanitary. It has really helped they come out smelling clean every time now.

Is he really showering?!?

Maybe you could ask your boyfriend for at least a week, to stay in there with his son to get him started the right way (meaning proper length of time) to shower, wash his body, and wash and rinse his hair.

Is he really showering?!?

Yeah, I think at 7 he's too old to have a female help him bathe. If you are concerned about hygiene, I think that this is something dad should bring up in a casual kind of way so the little guy doesn't get too embarrassed.

Is he really showering?!?

Haha My brother used to do the same thing. He was so fast at showering that my mother never really believed he was doign it at all. Maybe mention to your boyfriend that he may need to be monitored while he showers, that way you can see what hes doing and see how long it really takes too. I know when I give my oldest his bath it inly really takes like 3 or 4 minutes to wash him and then the rest of the time he spends playing.

Also remember that they're littler and have less to do in there. Women wash thier hair and the condition and wash our faces and then our bodies and then there's shaving.. blah blah blah. Most kids now have one soap for everything. So maybe that's just it.

Is he really showering?!?

I agree with the above, at 7 there's not much to wash! Besides, kids do need their natural skin oils. Too much washing and scrubbing is bad for them. Leave him be. Not your responsibility anyway, but his dad's.

Is he really showering?!?

Puh-leze, even 13yr old boys take 5-10 min. It is IMPOSSIABLE to catche them in a on there way out after a swim.

Is he really showering?!?

no most guys do take really quick showers! mine take like 40-50 min and my brothers are like 5-10 min! i dont no how they do it! lol

Is he really showering?!?

That's funny, because my 7-year old will spend 20 minutes in the shower and when I go check on him, he still hasn't washed.

I would give him a little supervising. Like reach your hand in and squirt the shampoo on his hand and hand him a soapy wash cloth.

Then you just have to believe he's clean. The soapy water is likely to be doing some cleaning even if he's not. If he smells clean and looks clean , then he's clean enough.

Is he really showering?!?

7-year-old boys NEVER stay in the shower very long. As someone else stated, there is combination shampoo and body wash now days for both adults and kids. Also, he has no one in there to wash his back so, it doesn't take that long. Be happy. At least he is showering :) Also, the older he gets, the longer he will be in there .... shaving, washing, etc. Also, once he starts dating, you will never get him out of there. If your unsure, ask his father to check-up once and a while .... don't embarass him because you don't think he is spending enough time in there.

Good luck.

Is he really showering?!?

Dont stress, I shower regularly in about that time. Men view it a little different then women...it is just a fact.

Definitely do not embarass him by going in to help...make sure dad is aware of your concern though and let dad take the lead if it is an issue.

Is he really showering?!?

After his shower, take one hand and hold a lock of his hair, near his head so it wont hurt, and pull the fingers of your other hand down that lock of hair. If it's clean, it will squeak.

If it doesn't squeak, take a comb, and use the larger teeth to run it thru his hair. Do you see shampoo in it?

If it's still soapy, send him back to the shower, with orders to rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse.

Is he really showering?!?

lmao, i love this question. my son is 9, and does the exact same thing. i get him in the shower, about 5 minutes later he is done. i ask him if he washed everything. he says yes. his hair is clean.( i can smell the shampoo.) it is fine. i guess he just does not want to lag aroung in the shower to long. i would not worry about it to much. as long as he is clean.

If my grandmother on my mothers side was creole would i be creole, have creole genes, just apart of t

My mom's mom was creole, and her aunt was a full blooded indian, our great grandfather was irish and his cousin was german. do i just have part creole background or am i creole? or what. i know that i'm black but what is my hertiage background. my mom is lightskinned, thin straight hair and she's the only one of her mother kids that came out like that, she's the baby. my baby brother looks hispanic with red skin, its just always red. i'm from new orleans and i'm just trying to find out aboout our family history or what others may think. help me out yall.

If my grandmother on my mothers side was creole would i be creole, have creole genes, just apart of the history

I think you wouold probably just be considered mixed. Both my parents are mexican but both side of my grandparents had one parent who had nore of a spaniard look and another who was more of a indiginous look. Thats why a lot of people from mexico are considered mestizos. Meaning mixed with other races mostly from people from spain and indiginous people. So i guess you tried to clasify yourself as one thing it would get real confusing.

If my grandmother on my mothers side was creole would i be creole, have creole genes, just apart of the history

yes you are, if you have spanish, french, indian blood decendents that can be traced back to louisiana origins, you are creole Report It

If my grandmother on my mothers side was creole would i be creole, have creole genes, just apart of the history

Louisiana Creoles are a population close to 2million across all 50 U.S. states and some migrated to Mexico and the Caribbean. They are a mixed-race group, like Latinos-French, American Indian, African, and Spanish. Check out the Creole Heritage Center website (its in Natchitoches, Louisiana). Report It

If my grandmother on my mothers side was creole would i be creole, have creole genes, just apart of the history

There's a lot of ethnic groups of CREOLE PEOPLE..It usually refers to the people with SPANISH ANCESTRY..Like people live in LOUISIANA with french ancestry or spanish.Like BRAZIL,PHILIPPINES,AFRICAN with mixed black and european ancestry.CARRIBEAN,INDIAN OCEAN, or WHITE PEOPLE with spanish ancestry. Report It

If my grandmother on my mothers side was creole would i be creole, have creole genes, just apart of the history

Yes you would be 1/4 Creole ... but isn't that a language. I know it is. It's the language that Haitian people speak. My school has bilingual class's for it, since a vast number of students are Haitains

If my grandmother on my mothers side was creole would i be creole, have creole genes, just apart of the history

A creole is just a mixture of backgrounds with African influence so I would say yes.

If my grandmother on my mothers side was creole would i be creole, have creole genes, just apart of the history

You have four grandparents, so if one grandparent was Creole you are 1/4 Creole. You have 8 great-grandparents, so if a grandfather was Irish you are 1/8 Irish. You have a mixed heritage.

Can you Get a Public Defender For Custody cases?

I live in the state of Ohio and my ex wife is taking me back to court because i chose to let my daughter dye 2 black streaks in her hair and she is going to try to keep my kids away from me, i cant afford to hire a lawyer and was wondering if i could get a public defender for a custody issue or is right to legal counsel only for criminal matters?

Can you Get a Public Defender For Custody cases?

Where I live Public Defenders only take on criminal cases.

Can you Get a Public Defender For Custody cases?

Black streaks seems a little mild for a reason to lose custody, so I doubt that any judge will give your ex the time of day.

If you can't afford a lawyer -- first call Legal Aid or the Bar Association in your area and see if there's a family court lawyer who will help you pro bono -- then the court usually has people who can advise you and even speak to the judge for you, much like a public defender would in a criminal case. Call the clerk of the family court to see if they have something like that as well as the Legal Aid thing.

Can you Get a Public Defender For Custody cases?

public defenders are only for criminal cases. however, there might be some areas which have a limited amount of legal aid-type lawyers for assistance in family court matters. you'd have to inquire, also, you'd need to find out, if such a person is available, if your income level is within their guidelines, frequently to qualify, you need to live beneath the poverty line, so it's not a question of not having the extra money, it's the question of having no money, whatsoever.

Are Christians hypocrites???

Christians, they love to talk about how loving, dutiful and compassionate they are, yet I have yet to meet ONE who does not practice hypocrisy to the highest degree. Their willful ignorance of the Bible combined with their two faced idealism to preach it, has made us sick, hasn鈥檛 it? For nearly two thousand years Biblicists have been lecturing people on the importance of adhering to the Bible鈥檚 teachings on ethics, manners, and morality. They quote Jesus and Paul profusely, with a liberal sprinkling of Old Testament moralism. The problem with their approach lies not only in an oft- noted failure to practice what they preach, but an equally pronounced tendency to ignore what the Bible itself, preaches. Christians practice what can only be described as 鈥渟elective morality鈥? What they like, they cling to and shove down other鈥檚 throats; what they don鈥檛 like, they ignore vehemently. That which is palatable and acceptable is supposedly applicable to all; while that which is obnoxious, inconvenient, or self-denying is only applicable to those addressed 2,000 years ago. Their hypocrisy is so rampant that even the validity of calling oneself 鈥淐hristian鈥?is in question. I see so many people enjoy quoting the Ten Commandments, the Sermon on the Mount, and some of Paul鈥檚 sermons, but don鈥檛 even PRETEND to heed other, equally valid, maxims. I鈥檝e mentioned pro-life and conservatism in other sermons. This one is going to sum up the rest of my beefs.

Hypocrisy of Marital Relationships: So many Christians try to rationalize this but it is clear that a true follower of Jesus can neither divorce someone nor marry someone who is divorced. There is an exception to the rule, however. If spouse commits adultery, divorce is permissible. On the same token, the Bible also says that anyone who obtains a divorce and marries another is in adulterer. Remember that 80% of this country is Christian yet we have a 50% divorce rate. A majority of divorces are a result of irreconcilable differences, not adultery, which implies that Christians are again practicing selective morality. How many Christians are working on a second, third or fourth marriage?

1) 鈥淪o they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man put asunder鈥?(Matthew 19:6 %26amp; Mark 10:9).

2) 鈥淲hosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery鈥?(Matthew 5:32, 19:9 %26amp; Luke 16:18).

3) "Whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery" (Matthew 5:32).

4) "...whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her" (Mark 10:11 %26amp; Luke 16:18), which applies to women as well (Mark 10:12).

On to another beef: The Christian attempts to put prayer into schools run directly counter to biblical teachings. Jesus said prayer should be a private affair devoid of public display: "And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room (or closet.) and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret..." (Matthew 6:5-6 RSV). Biblicists violate this on a regular basis and have no intention of correcting their behavior. They demand that evolution be taken out of the curriculum. They demand parochial school receive voucher programs so that they may collect public funding. Christians continuously pray in public, IE: churches, street corners, schools, courts, etc. yet all the while they never stop to think this is in direct violation to the god they pray to.

I, of course, know why this is voluntarily ignored. Public prayer forces the peers of school children to jump on the band wagon and pray. We are all aware that the church is simply a business which employs tactics similar to that of tobacco industries in recruiting consumers. Get the kids while they are young and vulnerable so that they become donating members of the church when they reach adulthood. I find it humorous that other businesses warn their consumers on the package that it is dangerous to one鈥檚 health while Churches don鈥檛 put warning labels on the bible for the pornography and immorality it contains. The psychological damage organized religion causes is notably prevalent. Cancer from smoking and cirrhosis from drinking is JUST AS HARMFUL as the psychosis believers develop concerning reality. The 鈥淚 see demons鈥?complex is more rampant in Christians then it is in acid dropping space cadets. I am not saying this as a joke. There are literal studies done on this topic and they are in accordance to what I am conveying here.

Christians always use the excuse that the above mentioned verse is some how 鈥渕etaphorical鈥?yet they take Paul鈥檚 maxim that men should pray with their heads uncovered very seriously. I assume this is generally followed because removing one鈥檚 hat isn鈥檛 particularly inconvenient. "Any man who prays or prophecies with his head covered dishonors his head鈥?quot; (1 Corinthians 11:4 RSV). On the other hand, Paul鈥檚 tenet that women must keep their heads covered with a veil during prayer is quite inconvenient and, for this reason, has either been rationalized away or ignored, although it is no less binding than any other moral law in the New Testament: 鈥溾€ut any woman who prays or prophecies with her head unveiled dishonors her head鈥? For if a woman will not veil herself, then we should cut off her hair: but if it be disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her wear a veil鈥? Judge for yourself; is it proper for a woman to pray to God with head uncovered?鈥? (1 Corinthians 11:5-13 RSV) The selectivity in which these verses are followed SCREAMS hypocrisy.

More Commonly Ignored Teachings:

1) "Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?" (l Corinthians 11:14). How many freaked out long-haired, bible thumping Jesus freaks do you know? Perhaps this is just my experience, but I can name 12 such individuals off the top of my head. Surely, you can recall at least ONE LONG-HAIRED CHRISTIAN. The stereotypical version of CHRIST HIMSELF! Think of the numerous statues and pictures Christians adore depicting the lord appearing as that which he detests. One can not stop and wonder at the absurdity of this.

2) Another tenet clearly prohibits women from being ministers or otherwise speaking in church (鈥淟et your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak鈥?- 1 Corinthians 14:34). It鈥檚 difficult to see how Paul could support the current movement to ordain women. Why, Jesus would **** himself knowing that even I, an ATHEIST WOMAN, has managed to get herself legally ordained.

3) A third tenet prohibits men and women from wearing each other鈥檚 clothing (鈥淭he woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman鈥檚 garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God鈥?-Deuteronomy 22:5). Funny thing, two female Jehovah Witnesses came over this morning, they coffee clutched with my neighbor Jenny, a fellow Christian and ALL THREE of these women were wearing pant suits!

4) Ever watch these Christians on television and notice how their bowed heads uniformly shake amen while some evangelist goes on and on in prayer for a ******* hour? Well, repetitious and monotonous praying is in violation of Matthew 6:7. 鈥淏ut when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.鈥?br>

5) Christians are not supposed to take their disputes before non-Christian courts or judges. (鈥淚f any of you has a dispute with another, dare he take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the saints?鈥? -- 1 Corinthians 6:1 NIV) How interesting! Considering that state is separate from church all courts are supposedly 鈥渦ngodly鈥? Does this stop Christians from tying up the supreme court with law suits concerning school prayer, abortion, or numerous other absurdities? Hell no it doesn鈥檛, and my taxes are paying the ******* bill for their hypocrisy!

6) Christian women are supposed to dress discreetly (鈥?..that women should adorn themselves modestly and sensibly in seemly apparel, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly attire鈥?-l Timothy 2:9 RSV; and 鈥淟et not yours be the outward adorning of braiding of hair, decoration of gold, and wearing of fine clothing鈥?- 1 Peter 3 :3). Violations of these rules are too numerous to mention. Just visualize Tammy Faye Baker鈥檚 mascara laden eyes and gold encrusted wrists.

7) Here is perhaps the mother of verses ignored: 鈥淛udge not, that ye be not judged鈥?(Matthew 7:1) and 鈥淛udge not, and ye shall not be judged, condemn not and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven鈥?(Luke 6:37). I have yet to meet a Christian who has not judged my atheism. The whole world is chalk full of judges, juries, voters, employers, teachers, etc. which are all constantly judging others.

8) Believers are supposed to hate their parents when they follow Jesus (鈥淚f any man come to me, and not hate his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sister, yet, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple鈥?(Luke 14:26). Well, considering that Christians do not abandon their families but usually attempt to brainwash them they are all guilty of not following this verse. 鈥淚t鈥檚 symbolic鈥? yeah, I know your lame *** defense to this one already.

9) They are not to oppose evil (鈥淏ut I say unto you, that ye resist not evil; but whosoever shall smite thee on the right cheek, turn to him the other also鈥?- Matthew 5:39). If this were followed one might just as well abolish law enforcement.

10) Biblicists are not allowed to call anyone 鈥渇ather鈥?(鈥淎nd call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven鈥?(Matthew 23:9). Not only is this rule ignored on a DAILY BASIS, but Catholicism uses 鈥渇ather鈥?as a specific title.

11) Christians are not supposed to plan or prepare. God will provide (鈥淭ake no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or that ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on... Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, not gather into barns; yet your heavenly father feedth them. Are ye not much better than they?鈥? --Matthew 6:25-34 %26amp; Luke 12:22-31 inclusive). I see Christian conservatives plot on a daily basis how to screw their employees so they can reap more profits.

12) Lastly, Jesus, who clearly is of greater importance than Paul, said the Old Law was to remain in force until heaven and earth passed away and all is accomplished (鈥淔or truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven鈥?Matthew 5:18-19 RSV). Heaven and earth still exist and many prophecies are not yet fulfilled. How many times have you heard some lame *** Christian say 鈥渢he Old testament doesn鈥檛 matter, Jesus was the lamb and abolished it鈥? Don鈥檛 let them get away with this **** for even the bible says that they should still be following the Old Law.

This verse leads me into an observation of how clear their selective morality can be exposed. Take for instance how Biblicists approach the Old Testament. They leap in and out of the Old Law like a porpoise in a ship鈥檚 wake. If they like it, they quote it; if they don鈥檛, they won鈥檛. Among the scores of verses they enjoy and employ are those which teach the following:

13) Contact with mediums or wizards is forbidden (鈥淒o not turn to mediums or wizards; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God鈥?- Leviticus 19:3 1 RSV, see also: Leviticus 20:6 %26amp; Deuteronomy 18: 10-12). Here鈥檚 an interesting little stat; Christians more then any other faith consult mystics and self-proclaimed oracles.

14) People should give one-tenth of their income to the Lord, which Biblicists equate with church (鈥淎nd all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord鈥檚...And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the Lord鈥?-Leviticus 27:30-32)

15) Tattoos are anathema: (鈥淵ou shall not make any cuttings in your flesh on account of the dead or tattoo any marks upon you. I am the Lord鈥?-Leviticus 19:28) Despite this teaching I manage to see Mexican Catholics daily with tattoos of the Virgin Mary, Jesus or a set of praying hands on their forearms and shoulder blades.

16) Money cannot be lent at interest to your brother, only to foreigners (Deuteronomy 23: 19-20) Ahhh, I鈥檓 recalling all the Christian banking corporations....

17) Eating pork is forbidden (Deuteronomy 14:8). Hmm, I鈥檝e never met a Christian who DIDN鈥橳 enjoy bacon and eggs.

18) A man must marry and have relations with his dead brother鈥檚 wife (Deuteronomy 25:5-6). This goes without explaining of course.

19) A seducer must marry an unengaged virgin whom he seduces (Exodus 22:16-17)

20) A raped, unengaged virgin must marry her rapist and they can never divorce (Deuteronomy 22:28-29). What justice the 鈥渕oral majority鈥?advocates!

21) There are several petty and silly little verses in the O.T., but none the less, they are to be followed. I guess it鈥檚 okay to disobey the lord for fashion鈥檚 sake. Beards can鈥檛 be rounded (Leviticus 19:27); A garment composed of wool and linen can鈥檛 be worn (Deuteronomy 22:11); Note: this explains why you will commonly see orthodox Jews with the long beards and black clothing. I say Christians should do this too so we can identify their stupidity upon first impression.

22) Bastards can鈥檛 enter the Lord鈥檚 congregation. (Deuteronomy 23:2) Hey, I know this is harsh, but God commands it, hence it must be 鈥渏ust鈥?

All of these rules are part of the Old Covenant and of equal import. Why quote the Ten Commandments and ignore other tenets? A believer鈥檚 obligation to one is no less than his obligation to all. In fact, if under the New Covenant Christians have stepped into the shoes of the Israelites and become, in effect, the new Chosen People, then they should inherit all the privileges and duties of that office. They seem to want the former but not the latter. Biblicists teach, preach, and attempt to reach others with moralism, but are not averse to selectively using that which suits their interests.

I鈥檇 like to close this essay with how to catch a Christian in the act. When you see them expounding a verse and ignoring another, call them on it. I know what you鈥檒l hear. They鈥檒l say, 鈥渢hat鈥檚 from the Old Law and we aren鈥檛 under the Old Law anymore鈥? Trip them with this: 鈥淏ut aren鈥檛 the Ten Commandments part of the Old Law?鈥? 鈥淵es, but we are obligated to follow them because they are reported in the NT鈥?(Matthew 19:16-18, Mark 10:17-19 %26amp; Luke 18:18-22). Immediately point out to them that Jesus omitted half of the Ten Commandments and invented a new one, 鈥渢hough shall not defraud鈥?! Before they can get a word in edge wise finish them off with: 鈥淎ccording to scripture it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of law to fail鈥?(Luke 16:17 %26amp; Matthew 5:18-19). If sin is transgression of the law, as 1 John 3:4 says, then you should be following all of the Old Law. This, from experience, is the best way to shoot down these idiots and bar them from getting away with their hypocrisy.

Are Christians hypocrites???

Many Christians are hypocrites, of course. Unfortunately, this "question" is concerned more with insulting Christianity than with hoping to reform erring individual Christians.

The "question" contains many outright lies and gross distortions about the bible and true Christianity. Here are a few Scriptural thoughts to consider:

(Romans 16:17) Keep your eye on those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them.

(2 Corinthians 4:4-6) The god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

(Philippians 2:14-15) In among a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you are shining as illuminators in the world

(1 Timothy 6:3-5) If any man teaches other doctrine and does not assent to healthful words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, nor to the teaching that accords with godly devotion, he is puffed up with pride, not understanding anything, but being mentally diseased over questionings and debates about words. From these things spring envy, strife, abusive speeches, wicked suspicions, violent disputes about trifles on the part of men corrupted in mind and despoiled of the truth

Are Christians hypocrites???

John 3:16 says it all. Does this make us perfect and without mistake and sin - NOPE, but even with the mistakes and the sin, God loves us anyway and he will forgive. I do believe in once saved always saved and that we as Christians should try hard to set an example and to be on our knees daily. Report It

Are Christians hypocrites???

christianity always has been an evil religion. even at its start it was in bloodshed. even those that say they are not true christians are two faced.

Are Christians hypocrites???

No. :)

Are Christians hypocrites???

OK... way too long.

Perhaps but it in bite-size pieces and post a few times and then issues can be discussed more thoroughly.

Are Christians hypocrites???

This is a REAAAAAAAALLY long post and I dont feel like reading it all. A simple answer is this: Some Christians are hypocrites, some are not. a Hypocrite is somone who puts a show on for others so to speak or says they do something good that they don't or don't do something bad that they do. All people do this to one extent or another but it is not a requirement for a Christian to be a hypocrite. If I tell you "dont cuss it's a sin" and I do it, then yes call me a hypocrite but if I say "cussing is a sin... but I do it" I am just being honest which is not hypocricy at all.

Are Christians hypocrites???

Not all Christians are hypocrites.

Are Christians hypocrites???

christians say God will judge then condemn me to hell in the same sentence. they are not nice people. i can feel energies off of people and christians and muslims have the worst energies. my advice is to stay away from the abrahamic three. they can be mean people.

Are Christians hypocrites???

I don't think it's fair for you to make such a generalization, but, yes, some Christians are hypocrites. But some Jews are hypocrites, and some Muslims are hypocrites, etc. It's a trait that can be associated with any religion.

Are Christians hypocrites???

The opposite of love is indifference.

Are Christians hypocrites???

You are right christians are hypocrites. Im a christian but I dont have the pride to be blind to my weaknesses and flaws. What makes me a christian is accepted I am sinner and asked God to save me basically from my own doings and flaws because I cannot do it myself.

NOW! me being a hypocrite doesn't make christianity vain

so PLEEASE!! dont let hypocrisy be your reason for not finding the truth,

Are Christians hypocrites???

You question is laughable. You are picking verses here and there, out of context, and turning them into the millionth Christian bash on Yahoo answers. I can't explain in a short answer all that is wrong with your little "theory", only to say you should really join a Bible study and ask these questions. You're highly misinformed.

Are Christians hypocrites???

Some Christians are hypocrites, yes. But that does not mean that all are. In the Bible, it says that there will be hypocrites (Pharisees), but we should try to turn them from their wicked ways before it is to late.

Are Christians hypocrites???

First, I admit that I did not read everything that you wrote, but let me say this:

Every human being has some degree of hypocrisy, and every human being falls short at times of the ideals that their religion sets for them, and the ideals that they set for themselves. Christians are human beings. Some are very hypocritical yes. The ones who truly know what it means to be a Christian will tell you that they are not perfect, and that is why they need the forgiveness that it theirs to claim through Christ's death on the cross. And our job as Christians is to love, not judge. I try very hard to do this, but I fail sometimes. When I fail, at anything, I pray for forgiveness and ask God to help me do better next time.

Are Christians hypocrites???

All organized religion is a con game, an individual loses his autonomy becomes one with the organization then won't feel guilt when he robs cheats and lies. It wasn't me, it was my destiny as this chapter says. The wise man follows experience not written word. Benjamin Franklin, Rod Serling, Kurt Vonnegut, all questioned religion and its ability to control through fear. Men use it to control other men, it has nothing to do with God. A cult comes by many names, to think for yourself is the greatest gift of all.

Are Christians hypocrites???

Are Christians hypocrites? Well, many are. And here's the shocker, so is your average non-Christian! In any case, the Bible does teach that Christians should not be hypocrites. But let's take a step back. Why are you upset about hypocrisy? Who told you hypocrisy is morally wrong? Who told you that truth is absolute and that hypocrisy and lies is absolutely wrong? If you are an atheist who believe that life is an accident, from where did you get your moral ethics from? The Christian derives his moral standard from God, at least you have an external standard to adhere to and be judged by. What about the atheist? Where does his source of morality come from? How do you decide what is morally right or wrong?

Are Christians hypocrites???

No they are not.

Jealousy usually brings out the worst in people and your rant is a good example.

I could sit with you and give you an answer for every question you have.

Bet you couldn't or wouldn't be able to comprehend.

Seriously, you can only understand if you listen.

Many a fool are exposed by opening their mouths.

First i would like to say that you CANNOT keep hanging around these people that have influenced you.ALL are sinners and fall short! I am not making excuses for anyone, all will have there reward.2ND if you cannot follow the ULTIMATE example of Jesus and learn love for your neighbor, peace, forgiveness, then clearly you are against him.3rd you can't possibly get all this answer in this space what were you thinking man? :) get well soon :)

Are Christians hypocrites???

christians are cruel two faced and enjoy sentencing me to hell. They love to make people feel like dirt and hide behind Jesus to do so. Bad people have a bad God. Jehovah was evil, cruel vindictive and jealous.

No PL we dont need Jesus. You need a kick in the @$$.

Are Christians hypocrites???

Hypocrites or not, we have sin problems indeed. We NEED Jesus. We could not make it to the Father's house without the mercy and grace of God. The church is the hospital for sinners. We deal with our sins. And when God washes our confessed sins away...what a feeling!

So which of the sins do you think Jesus died for? I have good news! FOR ALL OF THEM! Everything what I have done, I am doing and I will do: All covered! Do not throw your gift away? Do not get fooled that you do not need it...we all need Jesus, admit it or not.

Are Christians hypocrites???

You are "correct" on many issues, there are many

"hippocrites" Christian or otherwise, keep in mind we are

human and we "misinterpret, bend, change whatever it

is, to suit the occasion; it does not mean that there aren't

any sincere christians who try to do the right thing. I have

been preached to about my "multiple marriages" by the

same people who have "fornicated and committed adultery"

and not once, was I given the chance to explain my

situation, I just chalk up all these hipocrites to the mere fact

they are human, let's not just pick on Christians, I've seen

this in other beliefs as well, as for the Bible quotes, we

could talk to 1000 different people and get a 1000 different

interpretations, so my best answer/advice, tell them to

"have a nice day" and get on with your life. We are all

accountable unto ourselves.

Are Christians hypocrites???

Well, I read the whole question you wrote, and I have to say that, some of the things you wrote are true about how most Christians disobey these laws, but also some things I think maybe you misunderstood the meanings. I think long hair meant REALLY long hair, I don't do any motions when I'm in church like other people, I think the part about hating your family is supposed to mean that everyone, including your family is a sinner, therefore you are supposed to look at everyone as a sinner and flawed, but not abandon them because you are a sinner too, you can't abandon yourself can you?, I believe psychis, mediums, all that is evil and I stay away from it, I definitely give money to different charities. I think the part about lending money at interest to your brother means you don't put interest on the loan, just with foreigners, meaning non-relatives. I also think since my child was born out of wed-lock, if you ask for the Lord's forgiveness for doing so, you will be forgiven, and your child, and children go to heaven anyways along with babies. A lot of the things you stated I knew, some I didn't, I haven't read the whole bible and I do confess that, I'm working on it. I think a lot of Christians haven't read the whole bible, and that is where the problems lie. I do however tell people the things that I have read, and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. However, I am grateful that you included things I didn't know, it just makes me want to read the entire bible, and realize the things I am doing wrong. I know as a Christian I am far from perfect, and one of the things you are SUPPOSED to accept as a Christian is that you don't know everything. Be humble. Thanks.

Are Christians hypocrites???

Great post i loved it. Im not christian I believe when I die and my soul and energies pass from this realm to another I will b judged by many as my equals instead of one great spirit with one great book with the writings of my sins as well as others.I think i will b judged by the ppl and animals (yes i said animals i believe all things have a spirit from the blade of grass a christian will pluck and throw away thinking nothing of its toils to merely grow and live as its brethren do to the idiots that call themselves politicians and think theyre above others simply becuz they had money and could afford a proper school and had family with connections to gain power) that walked with and against me in this world. And upon being judged so shall i b weighed and if im found wanting i shall b punished and if ive earned that which i am deserving so shall i b rewarded.Ok my answer doesnt to b as long as ur post :)

Are Christians hypocrites???

Long post, so it is impossible to answer all of your questions. But here is a good one "Eating pork is forbidden (Deuteronomy 14:8)". If you are so smart, how about all of those passages in the Bible where Jesus, Peter %26amp; Paul said that under the New Testament, "all foods are clean"? (Mark 7: 14-23; Acts 10:9-16 %26amp; 15:22-30; Romans 14:1-8) Now who is picking and choosing?

And as far as certain people not being allowed in the Lord's congregation ("Bastards") didn't God (and Peter %26amp; Paul) expressly state that this command no longer applies because the blood of Jesus cleanses all "unkosher" people (Acts 10:27; Galatians 2:11-21).

For an ordained minister, it seems that you selectively ignore the parts of the Bible that you want to.

So you are the hyprocrite. Why should we listen to you or care what you think? Jesus I know, and I have heard about Paul, but I don't know you.

Are Christians hypocrites???

Once again try to ask a lot of questions instead of all in one. You will probably get more people answering.

Now for this question. To answer the first line. Yes we are, but so are most people. But we pray to Jesus and ask Him to forgive us and He does.

Are Christians hypocrites???

JW is banned is several countries because it is a cult. You warp people's minds so they don't even want to visit their families. JW takes all joy out of life, including holidays, family, etc.

Oddly, JW encourages you to be poor and unsucessful. What a bunch of loosers.

People who try to leave discover that all of their JW "friends" will brand them and disown them. Now, that's a cult.

Are Christians hypocrites???

There is no way I am going to take the time to respond to that all. In the end it appears to me, though, that you have more animosity and anger than argument. Your seemingly arrogant essay of a question is, sadly, naught but biased rhetoric.

There are indeed a lot of unintelligent Christians in the world and if anything you have hopefully made them think a little bit more than usual about all the things they don't usually pay any attention to. Now if only you would return the favor and think a little yourself. As your last paragraph shows, you do not even give people a chance to truly respond. You apparently have all the answers lined up for any possible attempted rebuttal.

It all seems a little narrow minded to me.

Are Christians hypocrites???

Individual christian is not hypocrisy. But a mass belief of christians are hypocrisy.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

鈥淎nd it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.

鈥淎nd it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king鈥檚 house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.

鈥淎nd David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bath-sheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite? [They tried to stop him here.]

鈥淎nd David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him.鈥?br>

鈥淎nd David sent to Joab, saying, Send me Uriah the Hittite. And Joab sent Uriah to David.

鈥淎nd when Uriah was come unto him, David demanded of him how Joab did, and how the people did, and how the war prospered.

鈥淎nd David said to Uriah, Go down to thy house, and wash thy feet. And Uriah departed out of the king鈥檚 house, and there followed him a mess of meat from the king.

鈥淏ut Uriah slept at the door of the king鈥檚 house with all the servants of his lord [he had some witnesses here], and went not down to his house.

鈥淎nd when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Camest thou not from thy journey? why then didst thou not go down unto thine house?

鈥滱nd Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.

鈥淎nd David said to Uriah, Tarry here to day also, and to morrow I will let thee depart. So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the morrow.

鈥淎nd when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.鈥濃€擨I Sam. 11:1鈥?,6鈥?3.

This is the sad, sad story of the sin of King David. To make a long story short, David told Joab to put Uriah in the heat of the battle with all the valiant men, then withdraw from him. The shooters shot off the wall, and Uriah the Hittite was killed; in actuality, he was murdered by a government cover-up.

鈥淎nd when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.鈥濃€擵s. 27.

David told Uriah to go home for the night, but Uriah said,

鈥淭he ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.鈥?br>

I want to talk about the reasons we have for returning to the front lines.

God gives us a helmet of salvation, a breastplate of righteousness, a shield of faith and a sword because we are in a war. I encourage you to return to the front line if you have left. I encourage more to get on the front line if you have never been there.

King David, a fine Bible character, is ordinarily cast in a good light. In this passage, David had sinned by committing immorality with a woman named Bathsheba. Because she was a married woman, he attempted to cover up his sin by plotting the murder of her husband.

David, however, did not take into consideration the strong, godly character of this young officer.

He showed up in the list of thirty-plus men who were David鈥檚 mighty men. Though David was guilty of murder, he still had the heart to list Uriah there because Uriah was a hardened soldier, a mighty man of valor.

Being a Hittite, he had obviously turned his back on the false gods of his father to serve the one and only true God, Jehovah God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Uriah married a beautiful young Jewish girl named Bathsheba. He joined the army and moved up quickly through the ranks to the place of prosperity and promise. His house was in the same development with the king鈥檚.

You have read the story. His conversion experience was such a life-changing decision that he became a red-hot patriot, anxious to fight the battles of his king and for his country.

To Uriah鈥檚 surprise, David, for ulterior motives, offered this valiant soldier what most every soldier dreams of in the heat of the battle鈥攁 leave from the front line with full benefits and pay.

David said, 鈥淕ood to see you, old buddy! How鈥檚 it going out there? Just want to give you a little break. Come home to your family for a while. Thought you might like to spend some time with your dear wife.鈥?br>

It all sounded so innocent to Uriah. David said, 鈥淚鈥檝e arranged to have a big meal catered to your house. Don鈥檛 worry about the war, son; just enjoy yourself.鈥?br>

I like what Uriah said: 鈥淎s thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.鈥?br>

Thank God for the tenacity of a man who saw something bigger than even the king saw. Uriah realized that a battle was raging. He wanted to return to the front line. He desired to be where the battle was hot.

Ladies and gentlemen, a battle is still raging in our world. Satan is as alive as he has ever been. He is fighting as hard as he has ever fought. In fact, he has turned up the heat, realizing he has but a short time.

As fundamental, Bible-believing Christians, we are in the fight of our lives. Casualties are mounting as we fail to reproduce ourselves even in our own children. Folks are quitting on God right in the middle of the battle. Some are tired, some are apathetic, some have wrong priorities, and some are even switching sides! We鈥檙e in a mess!

Fundamental Christians now, more than ever before, are needed on the front line, needed in the fight. We need more Sunday school teachers! more bus workers! more nursery workers! more soul winners! more preachers! more evangelists!

We need more men like the old-time, leather-lunged evangelists who came in, stirred up your church, then went to another church to do the same thing. They would shake you, stir you, get you to thinking about proper priorities.

We need more church planters. We don鈥檛 think about mission fields like Miami, New York City, New Orleans, Denver and Seattle. The preachers on the West Coast are begging for folks to come and plant churches in the country that is 鈥渙ne Nation under God.鈥?br>

It is not time to retreat! It is time to return to the front line!

We need more Christian school teachers, more choir members and more tithers. God knows we need godly moms and dads who are willing to teach children the old-time religion instead of what is popular. We need parents who will teach little girls to be little girls, and little boys to be little boys.

We need preachers who will rise up and oppose the worldliness that is creeping into the churches. And we need deacons who will back up the preacher!

You say, 鈥淧reacher, I get tired of being the bad guy all the time. I get tired of being a square peg in a round hole down at work. I get tired of being called the 鈥榬eligious right.鈥?I have too much at stake to be outspoken.鈥?

You have too much at stake not to be outspoken! You have too much at stake not to return to the front line.

I am right now extending to you a call to return to the front line.

You say, 鈥淲hy should I risk my popularity? I鈥檓 saved. I鈥檓 on my way to Heaven. Give me one good reason why I should give up my free time to serve God. Give me a good reason why I should demand that my family be at church every time the doors are open.鈥?br>

I鈥檒l do better than that; I鈥檒l give you five.

I. Our Faith Is Under Attack

When you realize that your faith is being attacked, you will return to the front line.

Uriah said, 鈥楾he ark is out there.鈥?May I remind you that the ark was not just a symbol of God but a place of God鈥檚 abode at that time. God put His mark on that ark, and they took it to war. Uriah said, 鈥楢s long as the ark of God is out there, I will not sit back, eat, drink and be merry. God is out there; we鈥檙e in a battle; so I鈥檓 not about to retreat!鈥?br>

Our faith is being attacked in our country. Because of that, I can鈥檛 stay home. The government is after our church. Hollywood is after our kids. Sodomites are after the pure lifestyles of our country. The media is trying to make us look like idiots. Humanists are trying to steal the very heart and soul of America. Evolutionists are after the Creator who created the heavens, the earth and man.

Jesse Ventura, Minnesota鈥檚 former governor, shouldn鈥檛 have said it, but he did: 鈥淥rganized religion is a sham and a crutch for weak-minded people who need strength in numbers.鈥?br>

He further stated, 鈥淚 choose to live by the Golden Rule: Treat others as you want them to treat you.鈥?(Wonder where he got that?)

Then he said, 鈥淭he religious right wants to tell people how to live.鈥?br>

Ladies and gentlemen, he was talking about you and me!

Since the world and the Devil are attacking our faith, it is not time for us to sit around with our mouths closed. We have the truth, and it is time to take a stand once again! It is time we return to the front line!

Our Bible, our morals and our freedom of worship are being attacked. The truth is, if it gets to where in America they can come into our homes and get our guns, they鈥檒l come someday and get our Bibles! We would not be the first nation that has fallen.

Colt is going out of the gun business. But it is not the guns that are killing people. America has lost her heart and soul, and it is the sinner behind the gun who is killing people.

The same thing that closed the doors and churches in other countries will close them in this country if people don鈥檛 return to the front line. We have liberty in America because men have bled and died on the battlefield.

We also have our spiritual liberty because godly teachers, preachers, deacons and Christian workers who lived before this generation carried the torch high. They have lived and died, sweat and bled, to give us what we have today.

I鈥檓 not going to drop my sails just because I鈥檓 of the generation that has taken the ball right now. Some others of my generation feel the same way, and I praise God for every one of them. May their tribe increase!

鈥淧reacher, give me one good reason why I should return to the front line.鈥?Because the thing that you hold near and dear as a Christian鈥攜our very faith鈥攊s being attacked every day!

II. Our Nation Is Under Attack

Uriah said, 鈥楾he ark and Israel are out there.鈥?What was he talking about? His nation was being attacked.

We鈥檙e at war in America! Some of that war is being waged inside our border.

Twenty years ago it was illegal to burn a flag. Twenty-five years ago a communist was a communist; now they have access to the Pentagon! Twenty-five years ago the sodomites were not in office, or if they were, you didn鈥檛 know about it. Thirty-five years ago people valued human life, and abortion was illegal. Now we kill babies and sell their tissue for profit and research! God help us! Don鈥檛 tell me we鈥檙e not in a holy war!

Twenty-five years ago the youth of America had values; now drive-by shootings and other crimes rule our streets. I read an article about a judge in the juvenile court, just retired, who said, 鈥淭hirty years ago, our detention center occupants were truce breakers; now they are murderers.鈥?br>

I heard this just last night: 鈥淓very twenty-three seconds a car is stolen in America.鈥?br>

One of our missionaries with Rock of Ages Prison Ministry called me this morning. (He visits in the prisons in the state of Tennessee all the time.) He said, 鈥淩ight now there are over two million in prisons and jails in America.鈥?And the news media just told us the other day that crimes were 鈥渄own.鈥?br>

He also said that in the West Memphis, Tennessee prison, a prison for the gang members of Memphis, the average age of the 2,500 inmates is eighteen. He stated, 鈥淩ight now, there are no fewer than eight young boys who are either fourteen or fifteen years old and who are in there for murder.鈥?br>

鈥淢y country, 鈥檛is of thee, sweet land of liberty.鈥?That鈥檚 our country I鈥檓 talking about. Don鈥檛 tell me we鈥檙e not in a battle!

When you can teach the Bible in a Russian school but cannot even pray in an American school, when the bullets are flying at your head, there is something badly wrong!

Somebody had better be returning to the front line before this whole thing called America sinks!

III. Our Family Is Under Attack

Uriah said, 鈥楾he ark is out there. My nation Israel is out there. Judah is out there.鈥?Uriah was a Hittite, but he married a Jewish girl, Bathsheba. Look on down through the passage, and you will see that he married into the family of Judah. When he said, 鈥楯udah is out there,鈥?he was saying, 鈥淚鈥檝e brothers-in-law, uncles and relatives out there. David, you have just called me back from fighting alongside my family. I will not do this thing!鈥?His family was under attack.

You may not think it is your job to defend and fight for the Bible nor to fight for your church by serving God in some ministry nor to fight for your country鈥檚 sake. It is your fight, though I may not be able to convince you that it is.

I cannot understand why God鈥檚 people will leave the front line of serving God and fighting the good fight just to sit around, when the spiritual welfare of their little boys and little girls is on the line!

I love my wife; I love our teenage son. I wonder what kind of America Joel is going to grow up in. We have the freedoms we have right now because men fought, bled and died. We鈥檙e able to worship here and say what we鈥檙e saying because men held the line! Yet folks are drifting off, going off into wild things.

New Evangelicalism says, 鈥淗ere鈥檚 your doctrine, but forget your separation.鈥?br>

Charismatic televangelists are filling up auditoriums all over America.

There are those who say, 鈥淲ell, whatever will be, will be.鈥?br>

I have always been taught that blood runs thicker than water. I was trained to fight for my family. I鈥檓 going to do my part to make a way for my family to serve and worship God until Jesus comes. Would to God that others would help me!

As the world sees the front line of the church weaken, your family will suffer persecution. I don鈥檛 think the way you educate your children is really a question anymore!

I鈥檓 going to be really candid with you. If you listen to some conservatives right now鈥擨 don鈥檛 think all of them are born-again believers鈥攜ou will say, 鈥淭hey鈥檙e right! They鈥檙e right!鈥?But when the preacher gets up to preach, do you back him up like you should?

We listen to some charismatic and say, 鈥淢an, that guy can preach! Man, he is tearing it up!鈥?He says enough right things to make you enjoy it, but it only takes one percent of arsenic to kill you! When your preacher tells you right things, do you say, 鈥淎men!鈥?and back him up by your lifestyle?

Some of these folks are saying that the educational system is corrupt. Let me add right here: I thank God for every Christian teacher in the public school system. May their tribe also increase.

We had a family in our church in West Virginia who homeschooled their four kids. Because their test scores were not where the state department of education thought they should be, they threatened to take the kids out of the home. The family thought they were joking around.

I shall never forget the look on their faces when they knocked on my door one night. There stood this mama and daddy on my front porch crying, 鈥淧reacher, they came and got our kids!鈥?br>

We dealt with the state and got them back.

I鈥檓 saying we are in a war! This is serious business. As the world sees the front line of the church weaken, your family will suffer persecution.

I want my son to be able to have freedom. I don鈥檛 want him to have to visit his daddy in jail.

IV. Our Leaders Are Under Attack

You say, 鈥淕ive me one good reason why I should take a stand.鈥?br>

鈥淕ive me one good reason why I should cut my hair.鈥?br>

鈥淕ive me one good reason why I shouldn鈥檛 put on a miniskirt.鈥?br>

鈥淕ive me one good reason why I shouldn鈥檛 smoke or drink beer.鈥?br>

鈥淕ive me one good reason why I shouldn鈥檛 play the lottery.鈥?br>

鈥淕ive me one good reason why I should teach my kids to hold the line.鈥?br>

鈥淕ive me one good reason why I should make my kids come to church and why they should be involved in some Christian club at the church.鈥?br>

The ark is out there! Israel is out there! Judah is out there! Joab is out there! Joab was the leader.

I say to you, the pastor of your church is out there. Does anybody care?

If I were a member of your church, one of the many reasons why I would toe the line, stay on the front line and be faithful to soul winning and bus visitation is that I would have so much love and respect for my preacher that I wouldn鈥檛 do anything to be disloyal to him.

We need a church full of people like that. Fundamental, God-fearing, Bible-believing pastors are not found everywhere.

鈥楯oab is out there!鈥?Whoever your preacher is, if he is a man of God, you ought to love him.

V. Our Fellow Christians Are Under Attack

Then Uriah said, 鈥楾he servants of God are out there,鈥?the people in the church. I love God鈥檚 people and enjoy being around them. I have the time of my life fellowshiping with the people at God鈥檚 house.

Uriah said they were 鈥渆ncamped in the open fields.鈥?The enemy in this case had a walled city, but God鈥檚 people were in an open field.

In our generation, evil is protected, and we have to fight for righteousness. Isaiah said:

鈥漌oe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!鈥濃€擨sa. 5:20.

Picture yourself standing in the open field of slaughter compared to Satan鈥檚 enormous army. The truth is, we have always been a minority. There was a time in the 鈥?0s when we thought we were the 鈥渕oral majority,鈥?but if we are now, you surely can鈥檛 tell it. Maybe we鈥檙e the 鈥渟ilent majority.鈥?br>

We stand in an open field as immorality on television shoots like a machine gun. Christians say, 鈥淚t鈥檚 harmless.鈥?Yet it mows them down in the open field, deceiving them and stripping away their values.

Our young people stand in an open field of drugs and alcohol, the number-one killer among teenagers today. Satan deceives them into thinking it is harmless. 鈥淵ou won鈥檛 get hooked,鈥?he says. Yet we laugh at the beer commercials on television and think they鈥檙e funny.

They鈥檙e not funny! We鈥檙e standing in an open field.

Our young ladies stand unprotected in the open field of promiscuity. They are mowed down with the lie, 鈥淓veryone is doing it.鈥?Everyone is not doing it!

I sat in a restaurant two nights ago with my wife and son. The couple sitting next to us had a ten-year-old son. I listened to their conversation.

The boy had been to a dance the night before at his elementary school. Daddy and Mama were laughing because he got his first kiss!

Awhile back Newsweek magazine ran an article called 鈥淭weens.鈥?It talked about the way our young girls鈥攖en, eleven, twelve years old鈥攆eel they have to dress in order to attract young boys. When I was ten years old, I was still running from girls! You say, 鈥淭hat鈥檚 old-fashioned.鈥?Amen! We鈥檙e standing in an open field, and you know it鈥檚 true!

Our elementary children innocently stand in an open field of humanism and anti-God, anti-Bible teaching. It comes at them so fast, they don鈥檛 even know what hit them.

The day of temptation comes from those higher up or from family. 鈥淥h, go on back home! You all down at that church take things too seriously! Lighten up a little! God wants you to be happy. Loosen up!鈥?br>

The day of temptation comes. 鈥淧reacher, do you have to put it quite like that? Can鈥檛 you be just a little more positive and a little less negative?鈥?Yes! I am positive that I can be more negative!

Jesus said, 鈥淵e generation of vipers鈥? That was not a very positive appellation.

When the temptation comes, the pressure comes. 鈥淪tay at home,鈥?when it鈥檚 time for church. 鈥淓at, drink, be merry.鈥?鈥淎 football game is on tonight!鈥?鈥淗ey, are you going to the races? Let鈥檚 spend $500 this weekend and forget about our tithe.鈥?br>

The pressure comes. 鈥淥h, we don鈥檛 need to be out there soul winning. Nobody is doing that now.鈥?Yes, some still are.

The pressure comes. 鈥淥h, you fundamentalists! Don鈥檛 you know everybody now is going evangelical?鈥?No, not everybody! A Christian still ought to live like a Christian. A Christian still ought to dress like a Christian.

When the pressure comes, we need somebody to stand up and say, 鈥淭he ark of God is out there! My country is out there! My family is out there! My pastor is out there! My friends are out there! As I live, I will not do this thing!鈥?br>

It seems kind of crazy to want to return to the front line, but I鈥檓 having the time of my life on the front line. I love what I do. I love being a Christian.

You say, 鈥淲ell, let someone else do it.鈥?No! You do it!

If you are on the front line serving God, stay there! If you have left the front line for one reason or another, I beg you, come back.

There are teenagers sitting in here who need to enlist for duty. Some young men need to say, 鈥淚鈥檒l be a preacher. I鈥檒l go to Miami. I鈥檒l learn Spanish if I have to. I鈥檒l go to California. I鈥檒l go to the Northeast. I鈥檒l go!鈥?br>

Some of you young people need to walk down this aisle and say, 鈥淚鈥檒l keep myself pure.鈥?br>

Some of you young ladies need to say, 鈥淚 want to marry a preacher.鈥?br>

Some dads need to say, 鈥淚鈥檒l jerk the knot on the end of the rope and stop the slide that my kids are on right now.鈥?My dad was saying it long before I ever heard anybody else say it: 鈥淚鈥檒l nip it in the bud!鈥?br>

It is time to return to the front line. You know what I鈥檓 talking about. I鈥檓 going to sing my own invitation song:

I am on the battlefield for my Lord;

I am on the battlefield for my Lord.

And I promised Him that I would serve Him 鈥檛il I die.

I鈥檓 on the battlefield for my Lord.

I trust a host of you will decide now to return to the front line.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

*Taps foot, rolls eyes, looks out window, sees the water, scrolls down screen." Trask, you're really making it hard for me to answer your questions. Can you just stick to the basics? Thanks and keep on letting your humor guide you. I don't think christians have ever left the front lines.

As long as Christians are not fighting for Israel and fighting to protect themselves than ok. Christians have always been given order by Jews to fight wars, enough is enough. Stop using Christians as body protections for JEws!! Report It

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

Forcing your religion upon others is the worst kind of Vanity in the world. You have been judged, Trask, and you have been found wanting.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

The only thing you're doing is turning people off of idea of religion. You're coming across as a fanatical retard and you're doing more harm than good. Think about it. This is not the place to advertise religion. I'm so glad I'm Lutheran. This is why I don't step foot in a Babtist church. Scary

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

you say an awful lot without saying anything. you need to quit preaching and ask real questions. mainly of yourself.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

Christians should only be fighting for their salvation. They should be fighting their sinful tendencies and destructive passions.

They should be fighting against oppressors and for kids, those underprivileged and hurting.

I worry about you, Trask. Be well, dude.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

first of all, that was a diatribe if I ever saw one.

My time is more valuable than to read the whole thing. did I get the jest that you would like a was based on religion, and not human rights and freedoms?

you scare me, dude.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

seriously, you should write shorter books. i bet you can make some good points, but not if nobody will read your.....what would you call that?

Quite a sermon Trask. Did you copy and paste that from SermonCentral?

Maybe you should examine how the early church dealt with the secular world as well.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

do you really think that people are going to read all of that?! No, any ways your a fraud. You preach hate in stead of love. It's people like you who are the total morons of the world. How can some one like you get into heaven if there is one?!

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

Yes, it's absolutely necessary for Christians to be on the front line. But I spent my career in the military fighting battles against mortal enemies, and I know that you don't fight your battles and expect to win if you just give them the weapons to use against you. This is certainly the wrong forum to fight this battle. You need a change in your tactics, and develop the appropriate strategy. There are plenty of those in need here in these forums, that you can wage your war, but do it just one battle at a time.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

It's funny, Christians talk about battle and armour, etc when it comes to what they want other people to do. But when you compare these people to Muslims and ask them to look at the violence in the Old Testament, they are like,"Oh no! That was the OLD Testament, I prescribe to the NEW Testament." Oh give me a break! I can't name how many times I had to sing,"The Battle Belongs to the Lord". All this fighting!

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

I don't think you are really a Christian at all, but rather a semi-clever Foe. First of all, there is your name-Rev, Trask was not a nice man. Then there is your message-on its face arguably that of an impassioned zealot, but really a giant TURN-OFF saying all the things anti-Christians want most to believe that we believe and stand for. Why? not to mention that to take up so much space to ask a question which is really an inflammatory pulpit beating sermon is almost an assault to anyone who wants to make a serious answer.

If you truly believe that the time for "Onward Christian Soldiers" is here, perhaps leading by example would be the best way. If you are possessed of any natural charisma, let that help you to reach people in your physical vicinity. I will pray for them, and for you, and for the Truth.

Don't you think its time for Christians to return to the front lines?

If you are a christian then you must know its hopeless to try and feed BCs or non BCs beef steak before they have teeth, they won,t have a real clue as to what you are writing, most only want short? So they can respond with a short answer. I am also guilty of short comments, sometimes to short.

Rev. You have a serious mental disorder, you need to be committed for your own safety.

Why do goths get bullied?

It's unfair! You get really smart kids that decide to stand out. Maybe they change the colour of their hair or get strange places pierced or even if they are maybe a goth. People get bullied and made fun of all the time and why?Maybe they do like the colour black and listening to heavy rock and maybe they never smile coz maybe their parents are dead or divorced or something and they don't want to smile coz they can't find a reason to but hey all I hear all the time is "SMILE", NO!!!! I just feel like saying to them wait till you almost get killed 5 times and your parents get divorced and almost kill each other and you wait untill everyone talks about you behind your back and makes fun of you then come and tell me to smile. It's unfair and if you are someone that this happens too e-mail me and if you are someone that makes fun of people then tell me and loads of other people why you do it. and if you tell people to smile think about it? do they really want to smile?

Why do goths get bullied?

Because we are different from everyone else and they aren't use to it .... They have no right to bully us just because of hair, clothing, makeup, etc ... But that is their way of saying I am boss, but I don't take their cap !!! They don't understand that being different and Ur own person is better !!!

I agree with you that people all the time tell me to smile when I don't want to ... And they don't understand why I listen 2 heavy metal and why I write poetry, and why I don't smile a lot but what they don't understan the most is ME !!!! When I smile they tease me about it "that goths and emo ppl don't smile" but we do !!! Goth and Emo isn't a label to me , plain and simple it's me and know one understands that ....

By the way 4 ppl who think Emo is just about cutting (WELL IT'S NOT) !!!

:(

I WILL SMILE WHEN THIS HATE IS OVER :) !!!

PS. (Goths need discipline and should act like a normal human being. Instead of making it into a "statement" how about focus on school or something.)

WHAT DISCIPLINE ??? U NEED MANNERS !!!

IF U WANT 2 KNOW I LIKE SCHOOL AND I HAVE 3 100'S, AND THE REST ARE 98, 96, 99 !!!! LOWEST IS 85 !!!

Why do goths get bullied?

people fear what they don't understand

Why do goths get bullied?

In my school a lot of people get bullied i think its because people feel intimidated and jealous. So the next time someone picks on you remember that they're just jealous of the fact that your different and not afraid to show it. People also bully because they're scared of getting bullied.

Why do goths get bullied?

jesus. dude. u sound like uv had a really hard life. listen don't get worked up about it. i c where ur coming from, if u really get pissed about people taking the piss out of u, take the piss out of them , grundge rudes emos. there all easy to take the piss out of. i feel 4 u man.

Why do goths get bullied?

Goths need discipline and should act like a normal human being. Instead of making it into a "statement" how about focus on school or something.

Why do goths get bullied?

Everyone one gets bullied in their life. Don't let them get you down, it will only let them win.

Why do goths get bullied?

Most of the goths I see are usually seen as cool in high school, I can understand if they are anime nerds wearing a Salior Moon T-shirt. :)

Why do goths get bullied?

LMAOOOO GOTHS JUST WANTS ATTENTION THEY WANT TO BE BULLIED

GOTHS ARE RETARDED

Can I grow to 5'11-6'0 feet?

I justed turned 19 and have grown like an almost 3/4 of an inch in the past year. However my growth as always kind of been steady, during my growth spurt I grew a little over 2 inches. I grew almost 3/4 of an inch since last year. Can I push out 5'11 1/2-6'0. My voice started cracking a year ago, and I have light facial hair, and chest hair starting to appear last year. I seem less developed then other kids in my opnion

Mom 5'4 1/2

Dad 6 feet

grandfather 6 feet

grandfather 6 feet

grandma 5'6 1/2

grandma 5'3, her father was 6'2, but her mom was 4'11

2 of my dads brothers are over 6 feet, one is 6'3, the other one is 5'11. my dad grandfather was 6'3-6'4.

I am 5'9 1/2, I was a little under 5'9 last year

Can I grow to 5'11-6'0 feet?

It is very possible for you to break 5'11". Some men actually keep growing during their college years, and it sounds like most of your family is pretty tall so I'd say the odds are on your side. Yeah so don't worry about being less developed or whatever, you should get there. :)

Can I grow to 5'11-6'0 feet?

It is quite possible. It often depends on the person, but by your genetics it sounds like that's the range you ought to be reaching. Also since it sounds like you're in the early stages of adolescence (some people start late), you are probably earlier in your growth than most people at 19. If your grandfathers and/or father have more chest/facial hair than you do, then you're definitely sort of late to adolescence. If you want to really be sure about getting a little taller than you otherwise would, drink 2-3 cups of milk a day and get a lot of sleep.

So I'm going to guess you will reach 5'11 or 6'0"

Can I grow to 5'11-6'0 feet?

Drink more milk.

And STOP drinking anything carbonated.

Can I grow to 5'11-6'0 feet?

possible cant tell for sure

Can I grow to 5'11-6'0 feet?

doubt it

Can I grow to 5'11-6'0 feet?

Don't worry, you aren't going to stop growing until you're twenty five. You will reach 6 feet and maybe then some. I was 5'9" when I was 19 and when I was twenty five I was 5'11" (that's two inches). Chin up buckaroo!

Think before you speak...

Here are six reasons why you should think before you speak - the last one is great! Have you ever spoken and wished that you could immediately take the words back... Here are the Testimonials of a few people who did....

FIRST TESTIMONY:

I walked into a hair salon with my husband and three kids in tow and asked loudly, "How much do you charge for a shampoo and a ********?" I turned around and walked back out and never went back.

My husband didn't say a word... he knew better.

SECOND TESTIMONY:

I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of golf balls. I was unhappy with the women's type I had been using. After browsing for several minutes, I was approached by one of the good-looking gentlemen who works at the store. He asked if he could help me. Without thinking, I looked at him and said, "I think I like playing with men's balls."

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Everytime my husband and me set a rule for our home, his sister seems to enjoy breaking the rules and having some lame excuse for not abiding by them when she visits. For instance, she'll be out in the snow smoking a cigarette and then trample all over the carpet in her snowy shoes, and excuses the mess by saying "I had to go to the bathroom really badly." and follows up with "it's just a little snow, water won't hurt the carpet" even though that's besides the point, point is I don't like stepping on wet carpet. Recently she feels it nessasary to bring her dog with her everytime his parents come to watch our sons. My husband loaths dogs and even has a sensitivity to the hair. She says "But this is my baby, I accept your kids, my Peanut is part of the family" How would you deal with this, when she has clearly been told the rules and blaintenly disregards them?

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Set a "no second chances" rule, and damned what she thinks. It's apparent she finds this to be some kind of fun little game, to see how far she can bend a rationalization at your inconvenience. It's your house, your rules, and if she can't abide by that, then she needs to grow up!

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Kick her to the curb and tell her not to come back til she respects the rules of your home and your decisions. If she chooses to ignore you and ignore the rules you set, she obviously doesn't care how you feel. Give her a taste of her own medicine.

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

It is your home. If she doesn't respect you enough to follow the rules in your home, then she doesn't have to come visit there.

The option is hers. Follow the rules or don't come.

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

;yeah sounds like she is kind of a brat. peanut is fine but the messy shells she leave behind are not. your sibling your mess you clean up after her. or you go to her house and do stuff. then you dont have to worry about it.

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Simple. Your House, Your rules. Your way or the highway (lame)

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Simply sit her down, explain the rules of the house and why she needs to abide by them and tell her that you are trying to set an example for your children and if she cant follow, then there will be consequences for her actions. Maybe speak with her parents about this, but its your house, your rules and that needs to be clear

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Don't invite her to your home until she grows up and learns that there are rules everywhere and adults must abide by them if they want to be treated with respect.

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Lay down the rules. No smoking, no pets. Break the rules, don't bother coming over. Obviously she has resentment for her brother and his "family life". She is trying to get you to fight over this issue.

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Tell her she is no longer welcome in your home until she can act like a mature, respectful adult. Find another trustworthy babysitter or take the children to grandmas house so she can tend them there

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Tell her nice but stearn. Look you are always welcome here, but it is my house and my rules. If you cant follow them or dont like them please find somewhere else to stay. We would like to remain civil and family but if you continue to disobey my rules in my home i will be forced to ask you to leave.

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Is she kidding!

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Just tell her politly if you cant abide by our rules then dont visite and if your husband dont like ti too bad he'll get over it

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

She clearly has issues and is disrespecting both of u by not abiding by ur rules. She is probably angry about something and feels the only way she can get back at the two of u is by disobeying any rules u set. I don't know how ur relationship is but I would try in casual conversation, asking her in a joking way why she always goes against any rules that u set. Say that it is almost as though she does it on purpose to upset u. Then if she says that's not true then tell her that is the feeling u get since she always ignores ur rules. I would just keep the conversation light and don't be angry or rude with her. Try to get the real issue out of her and perhaps that will solve ur problem.

good luck!

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Forbid her entry to your home.

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

She sounds really immature, but I do think it is too harsh to turn her away. I would only spend time with her in public, at a restaurant or even meet for a cook out in a park. Also -- tell her why. Maybe after three months, let her come back and give her a second chance.

Why is she coming with you in-laws when they come to baby sit? Unless she is under 18, she should not come over then. If she is, well then you need to find a new babysitter bc you can't expect parents to chose their grandkids over their kids.

I understand what a pain she is, but if those are the only things she does, I would try to work out a solution.

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

your sis in law is a total... beotch.

don't invite her, she obviously doesn't want to be welcomed back.

simply put.

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Give her a list of the rules, and tell her no exscuses accepted.

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

This issue has to be taken up between u and ur husband. U need to let him know that u don't like the way his sister disrespects ur house. Marriage is about compromise, she may need that tough love to the point that she is not invited to your house for a little while. Restrict her, ur husband has to understand that although this is his sister u r his wife and he made a committment to u not her. This is his sister and I am sure that she did not just get this way, he grew up with her, he knows her flaws and what she does just to annoy people. Talk to him.

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

I would lay down the law. Years ago when I used to smoke my sister would get mad when I'd break her rule about not smoking inside her place. The next time I visited her she had a "No Smoking" sign in the living room and that was the end of it.

I would tell your sister-in-law that although in the eyes of pet lovers people and pets can at times both be considered to be "family", that the deal is if the dog comes along, neither she nor her dog is welcome. If she tries it again, especially with your husband's sensitivity to hair, then sorry, she can't come around at all, period. Or if you REALLY want to get her, invite her over and leave a point-blank note on the outside of your door explaining why she is not welcome, and then LEAVE YOUR HOUSE AND BE ELSEWHERE!!!

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

She would be invited to someone else's house, not to mine. Are you door mats or people?

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

blood or not, toss her out on her ear and tell her until she can respect you and your home, don't come back

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

Your house, your rules.

If your husband is allergic to her dog, she should respect that. If she shows up with the dog, tell her the dog is not welcome inside but she can leave him tethered in the back. A dog is not a child nor a baby. Don't let her bring the dog in.

Tell her that if she has to go that bad to pee outside. It doesn't take a second to take your shoes off.

Personally, I wouldn't invite her to my home anymore. Only visit with her at other peoples homes or in public places.

Sister-in-law disrespects every rule we set in our home. Is it too harsh to turn her away?

It's your house enforce your rules. What are you and your husband afaid of?

Let her know that you can't control what she does in other ppl's houses but you can sure control what she does in yours. Unless she is paying the mortgage, the cleaning bill for your carper and the cost of allergy meds then she needs to abide by your house rules and if she can't do that then she needs to keep her *** at home. Be straight and to the point. Make sure when you and your husband say this to her that your mother and father-in-law are there so that she can't turn your words around.

When she goes out to smoke in the snow lock her *** out and tell her she can't come in until the shoes are off. If she gives you that lame *** excuse about having to pee then you tell her you have a choice; either take off the shoes so you can come in and pee or keep the shoes on and piss on yourself right there. the choice is yours.

Whether you like it or not, she is going to continue to disrespect the two of you until you REALLY PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN. She may get pissed but she will get over it. Good luck.

What do u mean is it too harsh to tUrn her away? "HELL NO" if she can't respect ur rules then why do u find it hard to tell her so.

Like a child she will go as far as u allow her, and the fact that and Ur hubby have not put Ur foot down makes it easy for her, because she knows Ur not gonna say anything to her,

So u have to treat her like a child and tell her that if she can't respect the rules in Ur home when she comes over, then she is not to come over again and if she gets mad( who cares let her) u held it in long enough.

That is ur home and anyone who comes into it have to show respect , also if she messes up ur carpet send her the cleaning bill, tell her she is NOT to smoke inside or outside of ur house.

Remeber if she gets mad( let het) if she's any kind of fair person she'll say she's sorry and never do it again

You both need to talk with her and follow up with a letter telling her that if she wants to continue being welcome in the home she needs to follow your rules. If she gets pissed that is her problem not yours.

Your husband needs to talk to her...failing that, you talk to her (love you, but respect me and my home) that doesn't work tell her she's loved, but not welcome. You have the right to be respected, especially in your own home.

If you state the fact as fact, then yes, there may be a problem.... but many a times, if you don't like some one, you start imagining problems...

maybe your sister-in-law has asked another question in this forum and she might be referring that when she goes to your house, you act like a bi(t)ch....

just to broaden your view that how different point of view can make same situation look different to different people..... so keep an open mind, look at the situation rationally..... why would your husband's daughter do this, i.e. she must have grown up together with your husband as a kid and she would know if her brother has a sensitivity to the hair.... no sister would do harm intentionally to her brother by bringing the dog ..... so this situation does not seem ALL real... maybe part of it is your imagination, especially if you don't go along well with your sis-in-law....

just keep an open mind and try to think maturely..... and then, if you still think that she's being disrespectful, then TALK....
