why are black women always viewed as big booty girls wit big lips and nappy hair that are on welfare with 34 kids and live in run down house? Why are black men viewed as always being dangerous criminals with no job and no future? Do blacks really make you all think that is the way we are?

I was adopted by two parents from Mozambique so of course I don't believe in stereotypes. You want to talk about stereotypes...my black boyfriend just graduated college and I'm a high school dropout! So obviously stereotypes are complete bullsh*t.

you make it seem like having "nappy" hair is bad. My hair is so called "nappy" some of the time (i change it often), im proud of it. I do have full lips, but my lips arent big. I don't know any black family members on welfare.

I do not sterotype blacks at all. My brother in law is black and he the most hard working of anyone I know. He has a lovely home and my sister and he have two wonderful happy beautiful children. I dont think my brother in law has ever run a stop sign. Its just plain ignorance that judges without knowing someone just for the mere color of ones skin.

Through the years there always is racial descrimination. But it is the modern time and anyone, everyone is just the same, equal. No matter what color one have it is just the same, a human being who needs attention, care from others.

They deserve the best things in this life, this world no matter what color they are. ....

They are good in almost every field, in music, sports and they are good dancers , as a human being they are also good as much as the others or everybody.... They deserve to be given chances to be part or participate in any field........

I have some of things...as well as a very expensive education, a corporate job, a business...and so on. Other races can (and do) view many any which way they choose.

I think everyone views blacks in the stereotypical way because of media and entertainment. Look on the news...you don't see reports about Morehouse and Howard, or Cornell West or Dr. Molefi Asante. Nope! you see ms. ghetto-mama in the hood with missing teeth...yadda yadda. you see crime up the ying-yang with a warrant out for a black man's arrest. In entertainment, what are the rappers talkin about? Women in a sexual context. or some is "locked up" or drunk, or threatening to kill someone because they are a snitch. I'm not saying that media and entertainment are direct causes of the problems that blacks have but they certainly do affect it.

Other countries have this same negative perception of black people; big lips and nappy hair is not a bad thing, although it is portrayed that way because society's version of beautiful is long blonde hair, pale skin...or with a tan, and certainly not vuluptuous.
