i read this book as a child. its a picture book for small kids, about a girl who has red hair. and she's really mean%26amp;spoilt. she ends up getting a plant for christmas (?) - but the plant grows%26amp;grows and eats everything!!
so she gets shipped off to an island with it and then it eats her.
