I have to get a puppy it has to be small or medium ( no large), cute, short haired ( no long hairs),easy to train good kids pet(my cousins).

Miniature dachshund -- no contest.

They are great with kids, cute as can be, tiny little buggers, and you can get them with short hair. I have two of them -- one was a breeze to train, the other was only slightly more difficult, but he's now the more obedient of the two! They are the most loyal and loving pups in the world.

if you find a litter you can be sure it will be on the small side if you ask the owner to have the runt.

i have a runt lab that is full grown, he is about 40 pounds. he is the sweetest dog i've ever had.

i also have a larger chocolate lab. they are both good with kids and VERY easy to train.

I have a Manchester terrier and she is a great dog

she is not too difficult in most situations

she is about 27 pounds so she is considered a small dog but she is not too small

You can get a yorkie puppy and cut his or her hair. They are loveable and cute. Cuter with long hair. They are small and easy to care for. Maybe you could go to the pound and get a mix. Maybe a toy poodle. the are sooooooooooooooo cute and i herd they were nice. Hope I helped! Good luck!

labrodores are sorta big but they are the sweetest dogs in the world!!!I dont have one anymore(it died at age 15)but my dad bought one for me when i was really little so it was a great dog for kids.These dogs are loyal and always nice.I highly recomend them(black and chocolate labs are best:])

I recommend getting a maltese. i recently owned one until she passed away. i had a female and she was great with kids. they are quick learners and strive for attention. i got her when she was a couple of weeks. they have long hair but can easily be trimmed but they dont shed. they are about foreleg high as adults

First off, you might want to get a female puppy because in my experience they are easy to train and you don't have to worry about them running off as much. I would suggest a terrier of some kind. Pomeranians are stubborn and can get nippy with little kids. Dacshunds are good dogs if the kids are over the age of 5 and understand when to leave the dog alone. Try maybe a Pit bull mix. If you get a puppy, you can train it to do anything you want. The ones I have come across are the best dogs besides my mutt. Very sweet and loving with a great disposition.

there are many choices , i would go for mutts, they have less health problems, yet they r very cute. i kno tat the chihuahua beagle mix is very cute and does not yip and is between both sizes. the cokapoo is really cute too
